Abstract

Green pod yield and seed yield on plant and plot bases were markedly affected by spacing. On plant basis, the best plant population was 20 cm. spacing for both seasons of planting. On plot basis, a substantial increase in yield was obtained at 5 cm. -spacing.

Generally, the vegetative development of the test variety was not markedly affected by spacing. However, there was a tendency for the plants to grow taller at closer spacing and to produce more leaves at wider spacing.
