Abstract

An experiment was conducted from November, 1967 to October, 1968 to determine the graft compatibility of the Duku and Sweet Lanzones (Lansium domesticum Correa) with Mindanao, Duku and Sweet lanzones strains as rootstock, and to compare the effects of these rootstock on the growth of the successful grafts. Higher percentage of success were obtained in grafting Duku lanzones. Duku grafted on both Mindanao and Duku rootstock had significantly higher mean percentage of success than those on sweet rootstock. Recovery of sweet lanzones grafted on different rootstock was significantly different and in this decreasing order Duku, Sweet and Mindanao.

Sweet and Duku lanzones successfully grafted on Mindanao rootstocks gave higher height increments than those grafted on either Sweet or Duku rootstock.
