Abstract

Two replicated experiments of sweet potato varieties were grown in successive rainy seasons to determine the response of the varieties to pruning treatments. The first experiment showed that the varieties that were moderately pruned suffered a lighter reduction in root yield then those that were severely pruned. The second experiment had similar results to the first experiment although the reduction in root yield was less pronounced.
