Abstract

Row spacing and variety significantly affected the total and marketable root yields of cassava. As row spacing decreased, root yield increased regardless of variety. However, the average number of roots per plant and the average root weight per plant increased as row spacing increased. Average plant height was not significantly affected by row spacing but it was affected by variety. Biochemical characteristics like dry matter and starch contents were affected in the same manner as plant height.
