Abstract
The study aimed to determine the present condition of the photocopying service of the IJPLB Main Library. It also aimed to determine if the service rendered was already optimal, and if not, determined the reasonable number of photocopiers needed to be able to avoid the queueing problem.
The data gathered were tested, for Poisson distribution, and measure of performance were done. After the computations, the study arrived at a conclusion that at least two photocopiers are needed in order for the photocopying service to run smoothly, thus avoiding too much waiting. Furthermore, this study used Aspiration-level model to determine the number of photocopiers. This resulted in reasonably optimal solution and not necessarily the optimal solution.
