Abstract

A seven phase reduction algorithm was formulated to find he equivalent total resistance cross the diagonal of a cubical resistor. Some concepts and principles of Graph Theory and Basic Electrical Engineering were used in the development of the algorithm. algorithm was tested using the data of actual resistor networks and provided similar results with the actual reading up to the conth decimal place for the cube which had soldered junctions. The algorithm was programmed in BASIC and tested in the APPLE II MICROCOMPUTER.
