Abstract

This Study analyzes the risks involved due to the enrolment in the Applied Mathematics curriculum. In order to realize this, the construction of a model that best describes the situation was done. The construction involves the identification of potential events or scenarios that leads to a fatality, assignment of their probability values and the quantification of the risks. Data collected involved those starting from batch 1980 to 1984. The model was also used to calculate the probability thr.t an individual will graduate on or before four years and was found to be .039 . The expected number of students to graduate on or before four years was found to be 3.2. This value however is a conservative estimate and actual number of graduates are higher.
