Combined resistance of tomato (lycopersicon lycopersicum (L.) Karsten) to fusarium wilt and root-knot
Abstract
Progenies of the crosses Florida MH-1 x Yellow Plum, and Florida x CIRT 106, and their respective reciprocals were moderately resistant to infection by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici. Resistance to infection by the root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita) was observed in crosses involving CIRT 106. The progenies of CIRT 106 x Florida MH-1 and CIRT 106 x Bonny Best and their respective reciprocals had combined resistance to infection by either of the two organisms.
