Man-nature orientation of rice farmers as reflected in oral traditions ( Philippines).
Abstract
Hypothesizes that the farmer's traditional beliefs regarding his natural environment will be reflected in the formulation of his needs and goals, in his decision-making and in his activities. The cultural values of rice farmers in the Philippines, as suggested by the sayings and superstitions in the localities of the respondents and the realtions between the cultural values and the production practices and levels of productivity of the rice farmer, are identified.-from WAERSA
