First record of genus Prolochus Thorell, 1895 (Araneae:Tetragnathidae) from the Philippines, with description of a new species from Mt. Makiling Forest Reserve, Laguna

Abstract
The orb-weaver genus Prolochus Thorell, 1895 is removed from synonymy in Dolichognatha O.P.-Cambridge, 1869 and reestablished as a distinct genus within the subfamily Dolichognathinae under family Tetragnatidae based primarily on the absence of posterior median eyes (PME) and two pairs of dorsal tubercles on abdomen. The new discovery of Prolochus in the Philippines extends the range of genus distribution from Myanmar to Luzon Island, Philippines. P. junlitjri n.sp., the second species known so far, is described and illustrated from Molawin Creek, Mt. Makiling Forest Reserve, Los Baños, Laguna, Luzon Island, Philippines.
