Breaking dawn?-a little vampire on bats: first record of RaymondiapagodarumSpeiser (Diptera:Streblidae) from the Philippines and expansion of host range and geographical distribution

Abstract

The occurrence of the streblid bat fly RaymondiapagodarumSpeiser (Diptera:Streblidae) on Mindoro Island, in the Philippines is reported for the first time, thereby extending its geographical distribution. It is also the first record of the species on the insectivorous bat Hipposiderosbicolor (Temminck) (Chiroptera: Hipposideridae).
