New records of Geometrids associated with mango in San Juan, Batangas, Philippines
Issue Date

Abstract
This paper reports for the first time that a shift in the use of broad-spectrum insecticides to target-specific insecticides has led to the observation of Lepidoptera larvae feeding on mango (Mangifera indica l.) blossoms. Larvae collected from mango trees in San Juan Batangas were reared to adults and identified using available taxonomic literature. These mango blossoms feeders were identified later to belong to two Geometridae genera: Thalassodes and Zamarada. Lastly, the moths were compared to voucher specimens of the UPLB Museum of Natural History for additional data on distribution.
