Simple rearing technique for anagrus sp., an egg parasitoid of rice hoppers
Issue Date

Abstract
This study was conducted to develop a simple rearing technique for Anagrus sp., an egg parasitoid of rice hoppers. The parasitoid was reared on brown planthoppers (BPH) confined with TNI rice seedlings grown in plastic cups covered with mylar fil cages. Three ratios of Anagrus to BPH were tested. The best result was obtained from 20:10 Anagrus to BPH ratio which gave 80% parasitism. Further research using alternate host for rearing the parasitoid may lead to the development of improved mass rearing technique for Anagrus.
