Abstract

A method to mass produce the Vanda thrips, Dichromothrips corbetti (Priesner) on flowers of Vanda under laboratory conditions is described. The method is easy, simple, convenient to use and sustainable. Large numbers of individuals of uniform ages can be produced in as short period of time. A total of 6,066 offspring can be produced by 100 female parents in mass culture.
