Issue Date
4-1999
Abstract
Crude extracts of Aristolochia tagala Cham. and A. elegans Mast. were toxic, repellant, antifeedant and growth inhibitory to the diamond-back moth, Plutella xylostella (L.). Free choice and no choice experiments were conducted to further demonstrate the repellant and antifeedant activity of the toxic extracts. Extracts of A. elegans, which was found to be more toxic to the test insects.
