Policies

GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

Priority in the selection of articles for publication will be given to those that:

  1. are products of completed research and written in the English language;
  2. have not been previously published elsewhere;
  3. have 100 to 200 word abstract, preferably preceding the main body of the article;
  4. are printed double-spaced and under 5000 words;
  5. are supported by authentic sources, reference or bibliography;
  6. encoded/written in a CD/DVD disc

Submitted papers will undergo a thorough review by referees before approval for publication.

Articles for publication must bear the author's name, title/designation, office/organization, and complete mailing address. It should be typed and sent in a CD/DVD disc along with two printed copies. Moreover, graphs, illustrations, or photographs must be enclosed with the article. Photographs in "jpeg" format should also be provided.

The article must contain the following segments:

  1. brief and appropriate title;
  2. the writer's name, title/designation, office/organization, and mailing address;
  3. an abstract following segment 2b and keywords after the abstract;
  4. a body proper/text discussion
  5. a bibliography reference, such as:

DAVID, W. P. 2003. Averting the Water Crisis in Agriculture: University of the Philippines Press, Diliman, Quezon City

The printed copy must be numbered (Arabic numerals) successively at the top center while the disc copy pages should not be numbered.

Table numbers shall precede table titles (e.g. Table 1. Rate of seeding per hectare.). The table numbers should appear at the top left of the table. On the other hand, graphs, maps and photographs are also considered as figures in which case, the captions must be indicated below the figure preceded by a number (e.g. Figure 1. View of a Farm Building.). The tables and the figures must be preceded by texts or discussions. Tables must be clearly typed without vertical lines or partitions. Horizontal lines must be drawn only to contain the sub-title heads of columns and at the bottom of the table.

All measurements shall be expressed in the SI/metric units and numbers shall be rounded off to significant figures.
