Abstract

The volume of solid wastes generated by many communities in the Philippines is increasing at an alarming rate and minimal technologies and equipment are being developed locally to convert these wastes into energy and useful materials. A thermal conversion equipment developed locally for the unique conversion of solid waste into useful energy and by-product is presented in this work. New designs and data about related technologies are discussed. Advantages and disadvantages are presented including recommendations for suitable solid waste handling techniques
