Abstract

A two-stage drying system consisting of a flatbed dryer in the first stage and an aeration bin in the second is proposed in relation to the investment requirements here in the Philippines. This Grain In-Store Drying System used the ACIAR Grain Drying Model of the University of New South Wales (Australia) to validate most of the calculations, both technical and financial. A positive application of the system under strict management specifications and control is indicated.
