Abstract
The Fundamentals of Animal Climatology laboratory manual is made specially for the students to have an actual or practical experiences in applying the knowledge gained in understanding the macro- and micro- environment of farm animals; physiological and behavioral responses of animals exposed to a given environment, identification of suitable breeds for our environment; prediction of breeding values and writing a research proposal in relation to environmental physiology and animal behavior.
Recently included in this manual are our experiences in ELISA technique for blood assays together with the computer exercises on predicting the breeding values. Resource materials like the compact disc about the state of animal genetic resources was personally acquired from the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). Several laboratory practicum were reviewed and revised based on course objective and recent techniques.
