Abstract

Four different educational plans, namely, CAP(College Assurance Plan), PEP (Pacific Educational Plans), PAP(Professional Academic Plan) and PAL(Pryce Academic Legacy) were compared according to the top prioritized criterion determined by the respondents when deciding to buy an educational plan. Twelve individuals, evaluated the proposed set of criteria in choosing educational plans. The top prioritized criterion was then determined using the measures of central tendency which are the arithmetic mean, median and mode. The top criterion using the arithmetic mean was found to be the plans benefit. PAL proved to have the most benefits to offer potential clients followed by PEP, PAP, CAP. On the other hand, the median and mode showed that the top criterion is the company's stability. CAP was the best pre-need company based on this criterion, followed by PEP, PAP, PAL.
