Abstract

The on-farrn major practice of the production and management of a black farm was conducted in the farm of Primo Vergara in Bo. Balagtasin, San Jose, Batangas from May to June, 1986 in order to assess the community ' s black pepper industry, the different factors affecting it, and to identify the constraints met in black pepper production.

The selection of planting materials, use of organic and inorganic fertilizer, sanitation and pest control of black pepper, soil erosion control measures, and quality control of black pepper produce are needed to further improve the black pepper production in San Jose, Batangas.
