Abstract

This study makes two additions to Littlewood's three principles.

(a) Every measurable function is nearly differentiable and,

(b) Every Lebesgue integral is nearly a Riemann integral.

It is shown that Lebesgue integral can be evaluated by applying the Mean Value Theorem on an approximating continuous function.
