Abstract
The Rosenbrock Algorithm and the D. S. C. Algorithm, both direct search methods using orthogonal directions were implemented into a software. Values of the optimal parameters were determined and the performance was compared with each other and with the other direct search methods, namely, Nelder and Mead, Hooke and Jeeves.
