Abstract
The effects of solute to solvent concentration on the homogeneity and electrical conductivity of sulfonic doped polypyrrole were investigated. Sulfonic doped polypyrrole were synthesized using standardize oxidative method. Different solute to solvent concentrations were prepared using Dimethylformamide (DMF) and N-methyl pyrrolidone (NMP) as solvents. The FTIR spectra verified that the fabricated polymer was polypyrrole. Effects on the surface homogeneity were determined via Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and on electrical conductivity via four point probe method. The surface homogeneity of the dissolved polypyrrole decreases as the solute to solvent concentration increases. Electrical conductivity of the dissolved polypyrrole decreases also as the solute to solvent concentration increases.
