Abstract
Different food samples and agricultural food commodties were tested for the presence of Aspergillus. Sorghum, palay, and achuete gave Aspergillus growth which produced the yellow orange pigmentation on Aspergillus differential medium (ADM) characteristic of Aspergillus species. Of the samples which yielded Aspergillus, only the isolates from sorghum showed fluorescence under long-wave ultra-violet (UV) light characteristic of aflatoxin-producing strains when grown on coconut agar medium (CAM).
