Abstract
Starch-gel electrophoresis was used to characterize plasma albumin electrophoretic banding patterns from 64 chickens, 32 of which were Tagalog natives and 32 were Single Comb Whiteleghorn hybrid chickens. Results showed a single handling pattern for both the natives and the hybrids. Individuals from both populations showed only band albumun and implies homozygosity in the locus. The genotype frequency of both the natives and the hybrids is equal to one.
