ABSTRACT The comparative electrophoretic analysis of esterase, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, acid phosphatase and alkaline phosphatase from different organs (heart, eyes, liver and muscle) of tilapia (Oreochromis nilotica) collected from Jalajala and Pilillia, Rizal was done. Results of the 2-Factor Factorial in CRD revealed that the number of bands for each enzyme is dependent on the sampling sites and the fish organs analyzed. More esterase bands were observed in the muscle The glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase isozyme showed more variability in terms of the number of bands observed in the liver and eyes. The numbers of bands observed in the alkaline and acid phosphatase were significantly different in terms of organ and sampling sites. From the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT), esterase isozyme from the muscle was significantly different from the esterase banding pattern of the same tissue. The numbers of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase bands were significantly different in the liver and eyes in both populations. While the number of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase in the muscle and in the heart were independent on the sampling site and the fish organ. Acid and alkaline phosphatase did not differ significantly in terms of the number of bands observed in the different organs and sampling site
