Abstract
The seedcoats of eleven varieties ( five green-colored. yellow colored, and one intermediate colored I of Mungbean, y were analyzed to determine the classes pigment, found in them. The organic layers and aqueous la formed from the extraction of the pigments were subjected ,pectrophotometr1C analysis, flourescence test and descer paper chromatography. The pigments were identified to chloroph,11 b, phytofluene, flavonol, aurone and flavone. And pigment, a chalcone, was also identified but is uncertain. Regardless of the distinct seedcoat colors of the mungbean varieties. all contain the same types of pigments.
