Abstract
The effect of seven concentrations of Nuvacron 300 such as Full, .1:1, .1:2, .1:5 .1:10, .1:50 on the fertility and chromosomal behavior of C. lurmicarius was determined. All concentrations of Nuvacron used produced a corresponding decrease on survival rate and fertility. An 85% (.1:20), 92% (.1:50) and 100% (for the rest of the concentration) decreased in fertility was observed. Cytological analysis of (F1) progenies from the stock treated with .1:50 dilution showed normal cell division. Inadequate number of progenies harvested from other treatments limits the cytological investigation.
