Abstract
The major farm practice was conducted at ATI-ITCPH Farm in Brgy. Marawoy, Lipa City from May 2 to May 27, 2011. The objectives of the farm practice were to participate in the actual management practices of the farm, to evaluate the soundness of the practices performed in the farm and to be familiar with common problems existing in the farm. ITCPH Farm has a 73-sow level farrow to finish production system. It is a training center and the student observed the daily activities and implemented management practices in the different sections of the farm. Technical analyses were done on these practices, and production performance was also evaluated. Innovations such as automatically controlled evaporate cooling system, biogas digester, and semi-automated feeders were noted. A SWOT matrix was done to see SO and WT interactions that may affect the farm. Recommendations were cited as well.
