Abstract

The study investigated the factors affecting the adoption of a digitized project management system in the case of EcoAgri Foundation. The general objective of the study was to identify the factors affecting EcoAgri Foundation’s Adoption of a digitized project management system. The specific objectives of the study are to (i) present the profile of the respondents in EcoAgri Foundation ;(ii) determine the perceived ease of use of a digitized PMS; (iii) identify the perceived usefulness of a digitized PMS; (iv) determine the respondents’ attitude and intention to use a digitized PMS; (v) determine the significant factors affecting the adoption of a digitized PMS; and (vi) establish actionable recommendation to guide the foundation in creating a tailor- fit digitized project management system.

The study made use of primary data which was gathered via google forms so that the researcher and the interviewee would have less exposure to COVID-19. The primary data gathered in the interview were age, years in school, household size, income per month, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude to use, and intention to use. Moreover, Logistic Regression was used to determine the significant factors affecting the adoption of the digitized project management system. Furthermore, the scores of the respondents in their perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude to use, and intention to use the digitized project management system are 43.5, 38.5, 42.5, and 45.2 out of 100 points respectively. The main concerns of the employees of the foundation if the digitized project management system were to be implemented is that its user interface should be easy to understand and that they should receive adequate training from the foundation on how to use it.

In addition to that, logistic regression analysis suggests that the statistically significant factors affecting the adoption of the digitized project management system are age, years spent in school, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and attitude to use. Thus, the study recommends that when implementing a digitized project management system the management should consider the interface, commands, and easiness to learn of the system and provide the employees an intensive and hands-on training on operating the system. For the employees, the study recommends that they attend training and seminars regarding the operations of the operation of the digitized project management system to reinforce their training given by the management.
