Abstract
Twelve varieties of Leuceena leucocephala from accessions made by 1213, UPLB showed that the flavonolds present were flavonol, Isoflavone, ilavone, Dihydro flavonol. Chalcone end Aurone. These flavonoids corresponded to nine similar spots and color changes under in light and in the presence of ammonia for all twelve accessions. The highest flavonoid number was found to be 14 and 13 for varieties 63 and 65 respectively while an average of 10-12 different spots were accounted for the rest of the varieties. Furthermore, a possible correlation exists between the mimosine content and Flavenol and Isoflavone content of these varieties.
