Adviser : Dr. Nieva T. Librojo-Basilio

The quality of groundwater in Barangay Uno, Cabuyao, Laguna was evaluated for three sampling months. The different parameters analyzed were pH, total dissolved solids (TDS), total hardness (as CaC09), chloride, sulfate, nitrate, lead, and the major cations as sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium.

The pH readings were taken at the time of sampling. Total dissolved solids were analyzed using the oven-drying method. Total hardness and Chloride levels were determined using the EDTA titrimetric method and argentometric method, respectively. Sulfate analysis employed the use of the turbidimetric method. The nitrate concentration was determined using the Brucine method. Analyses of lead and the major cations were carried out using the atomic absorption and flame emission spectroscopy.

The values of pH ranged from 7.40 to 7.77. The total dissolved solids ranged from 323 to 569 ppm. Total hardness and Chloride values ranged from 202 to 680 ppm and 13.33 to 153.32 ppm, respectively. The concentration of sulfate ranged from 1.74 to 10.22 ppm. Nitrate values
