Abstract

The major farm practice was conducted at the Animal Dairy Science Cluster Dairy Farm, UPLB-CA, College, Laguna and at Real Fresh Dairy Farms, Incorporated, a commercial dairy farm located at Masaya, Bay, Laguna. The student allocated two weeks for each farm and was involved in the actual operations of the farms. She participated in various management practices such as milking, feeding, forage management, cleaning, breeding, herd management, and processing. The student was able to apply theoretical knowledge in dairy production acquired from the university. Assessment of the various management practices and techniques in undertaking dairy production was discussed through technical analysis of the farm operations, farm descriptions, and SWOT analysis. Identification of problems, lesson learned and possible recommendations were also presented.
