Abstract

Protein-bound amino acids from both the mutant (Macapuno) and normal nuts showed identical chromatographic patterns. This indicates that no qualitative difference in the amino acids exists between the two, and leads to the conclusion that the quality of amino acids is not responsible fer the cell behavior exhibited by the mutant (Macapuno) nut endosperm.
