Abstract
Specific visual symptoms of nitrogen, calcium, and magnesium deficiency were manifested by rice plants grown in culture solutions which were deficient in these elements; potassium-, phosphorus-, sulfur-, and iron-deficiency symptoms in the first experiment differed from those in the second. The trend of absorption of the different ions by the deficient plants in both experiments varied considerably.
