Abstract

The student has taken her plant practice at Edward Keller (Philippines), Inc. It is a food company that manufactures products of various categories which includes: 1) beverage and dairy 2) confectionery and bakery 3) food supplements and nutrition and 4) processed food and food service. The production plant is located at 101 Prosperity corner Unity Avenue, Carmelray Industrial Park 1, Canlubang, Calamba City, 4028 Laguna. The company is a subunit of DKSH Holding Ltd. which specializes on custom food manufacturing. The student was assigned at the quality assurance department where she was introduced on different analyses such as physico-chemical, microbiological and sensory evaluation of dry blends, liquid blends and bakery ingredients manufactured by the company. After the training, the student had acquired knowledge not only about the different technical analyses but also gained interpersonal skills that would equip her to face the challenges that are anticipated after graduation.
