Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the knowledge, attitude and practices on insect pest control of mango growers and/or contractors in the Province of Pangasinan. Using purposive sampling, a self-administered questionnaire was used to gather data from all 68 participants of the pest management training facilitated by the Provincial Agricultural Office of the Province of Pangasinan. Data and information obtained from the respondents were organized, tabulated and analyzed using descriptive statistics like frequency, counts, ranks and percentages. In summary, the respondents had an average level of knowledge of and a positive attitude towards different insect pest control activities. Based on their practices, it was found that they sometimes perform these pest control activities.
