Abstract

The practicum was conducted at Mofel's Food International Corporation from April 10 to April 27, 2012 for a period of 150 hours. The company has been in the business of toll packing and offers services of several brands both local and multinational food companies. The trainee was assigned to three divisions of the company. The trainee was assigned most of the time at the Canning Meat Division. The products that were being processed and canned are products that are being toll-packed by other companies Jollibee (hotdogs), Purefoods (Processed Meat), KFC, Phillips, Senorita, Yakitori Japan, and Buco products.The main objective of the plant practice was to acquire technical skills and new knowledge in the application of the principles and theories learned in the university through experience during the plant training. The trainee was exposed to actual food processing operations and determined the management operations particularly in processing, operations and production management. Practical working experience of the possible work of Food Technologist as an analyst was also experienced by the trainee. Proper work attitudes, work ethics and good manners were also learned by the trainee.
