Abstract

A major practice was conducted at the Real Fresh Dairy Farms Incorporated, Brgy. Masaya, Bay, Laguna from October 20, 2013 to November 30, 2013. The student's objectives of the major practice are to observe and be involved in actual dairy farm operations by applying the learned theories from the university. The student performed actual practices in the dairy farm operation such as cleaning of pens, feeding of different herd groups, ear-tagging, vitamin injection, antibiotic injection, calf rearing, cleaning of milking parlor and equipment, milking, COB test, milk acidity test and processing of different milk products such as white cheese and yoghurt.
