Abstract

The plant practice was conducted at Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines, Inc., Sta. Rosa City, Laguna from June 8 to July 8, 2015. The primary objective of the plant practice was to give the student a feel of the actual working atmosphere of her chosen company and a chance to integrate the knowledge and skills she acquired in the university. The student was assigned at the Quality Assurance Department ? One Ways of the Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines Inc. Sta. Rosa Plant. She had a hands-on training on quality testing and microbiological testing of raw materials up to full goods. The training enabled the student to familiarize herself with the different processes and operations used by the company in production and also to experience various technical practices employed in the company to ensure the quality of the products. Therefore, practicum is essential for students to put academic learning in context. It also broadens the students? practical experience and outlook on their line of work to have the proper values, perspective and attitude needed to function in a professional food industry setting.
