Abstract

The Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc.(CCBPI) Sta. Rosa City, LAguna Plant is a multinational beverage corporation and manufacturer, retailer and marketer of non-alcoholic beverage products. The Redsystems Company, Inc exclusively provides logistics service requirements of CCBPI including repacking activities of the returned finished goods in the plant. Problem identified was the high accumulation of bad order products from the returned finished goods in the repacking area with 3574 cases of finished products resulting to a PhP 2, 293,020 bad order cost. Bad order products are identified to be due to defects such as PET bottle deformities and leaking products. Solutions were hiring sorter in the picking area and re-layout the repacking area to allot space between pallets of sorted returned products. These solutions were directed towards the reduction of bad order products due to PET bottle deformities and leaking finished goods in the repacking area. With the implementation of these recommendations, the bad order cost in the repacking area will be reduced by PhP 1,086,630-from Php 2,293,020 to Php 1,206,390.
