Abstract

Solanum melongena and S. cumingii differing in phytogeographical origin were crossed. Meiosis in the F. plants was normal. Purple pigmentation of fruit: and leaves Was dominant over non-purple, the spiny over the non-spiny and solitary fruiting habit over the clustered.
