Abstract

Crosses of standard inbreds to A158B, an inbred with the sterile cytoplasm, were tested for their reaction to Helminthosporium leaf spot (Helminthosporium maydis Mish. and Miy.), their pollen fertility and other agronomic characters in the 1962 wet season. Among the nine inbreds tested only Ph1 and Ph4 were found to be non restorers.
