Abstract
Of the six varieties as tested during the week season, 1960, Batangas Long Purple, the check variety excelled in weight of fresh fruits (9.94 tons/ha.). Bulacan Long Purple had the longest fruit (17.40 cm.); on the other hand, La Union strain had the biggest mean diameter of fruit, with 7.26 cm.
