Abstract

The yield of the eight varieties, in terms of number and weight of bolls per plant, did not differ significantly. There was also no significant variation in percentage lint among the varieties.

Bornake was the tallest and had the highest average number of branches; Kapas Purao was the shortest and had the lowest number of branches. Cocker gave the highest percentage of germination and percentage of seed.
