Abstract
This study was conducted in the Department of Agronomy, University of the Philippines, College, Laguna, Philippines from January to June, 1969.
Coffee seedlings sprayed with solutions of urea produced more and larger leaves and more dry matter than those sprayed with solutions of ammonium sulfate. Solutions containing 0.5 to 1.0% N, irrespective of N-source, enhanced better development of stem diameter than solutions containing more nitrogen. Height increment and branching were not influenced by the treatments imposed.
