Abstract

A farm practice was conducted in Poblacion, Malibcong, Abra during the summer of 200 to document and assess the existing agroforestry practices being done by the Tinguian (Banao) tribe four years after the SALT-3project of the Dangayan Brothers for Development with the cooperation of the Assisi Development Foundation. This was done in order to design and recommend possible technological that will benefit both the farmer and the community. Some of the cultural practices being done, like contouring, planting of hedgerows and over crops have been proven to be ecologically sound by conserving moisture and reducing erosion. it was recommend that farmers establish a communal nursery, engage in livestock production and apiculture and practice other SWC measures to improve the stability and sustainability of the system.
