Abstract

Grain yield rice was not significantly affected by the rate of seeding tried although the differences among the treatments were quite high. Tiller production was found to be significantly affected by the different seeding rates which was not so in the case of plant height. sparely seeded rice induces a longer vegetative growth resulting in a later maturity of the crop.
