Abstract
Grain yield of rice was not significantly affected by the rates of seeding tried although the differences among the treatments were quite high. Tiller production was found to be significantly affected by the different seeding rate which was not so in the case plant height. Sparsely seeded rice induces aa longer vegetative growth resulting in a later maturity of the crop.
